Quality Assurance

Few initiatives have been adopted by this institution to constantly maintain the quality of education imparted to the students along with their skill development. In addition, novel measures are relentlessly thought of and applied towards the enhancement of the qualitative metrics. Some of them are:

  • Introduction of UG CBCS curriculum as per the University of Calcutta guidelines from the session 2018-19.
  • Participation in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
  • Participation in All India Survey of Higher Education (AISHE).
  • Preparation of Yearly Academic Calendar on the basis of University Academic Calendar at the beginning of each academic year.
  • Submission of AQAR in every session.
  • Maintenance of Daily Diary by Teachers as an institutional best practise.
  • Organising regular Health Counselling and Medical check-up for students and staff members by registered medical practitioner.
  • Organising Career - Counselling sessions/seminars/workshops.
  • Providing Placement assistance to students of Department of Fashion and Apparel Designing.
  • Organising Internship at various industrial houses for students of Department of Fashion and Apparel Designing and the Department of Communicative English.
  • Organising Field-Trips for students of Department of Geography and Department of Fashion and Apparel Designing.
  • Organising Self Defence course-"Sukanya" in collaboration with Kolkata Police.
  • Organising Departmental Level Invited Lectures / Seminars by all departments.
  • Organising Student Seminars by all departments.
  • Publication of Wall magazine by students of different departments.
  • Organising "Talent Hunt", an intra-college competition of various extra-curricular activities.
  • Celebration of "Communal Harmony Week" by Social Service Sub-Committee.
  • Celebration of "International Women's Day" by Literary Club.
  • Conducting regular student mentoring by all faculty members.
  • Feedback from outgoing students on Curriculum, Teaching Learning & Evaluation process
  • Feedback and suggestions from parents on institutional facilities and academics.
  • Establishing linkages with other institutions of higher education and colleges with Potential for Excellence (CPE).
  • Strengthening of research activities in the institute by motivating faculty members to publish research papers and present them in National and International seminars/conferences.
  • Enriching faculty members by encouraging participation in Faculty Development Programmes and Short- Term courses.
  • Re-constitution of various Sub Committees under Teachers' Council at the beginning of each academic year to cater to various curricular and co-curricular activities.
  • Segregation of Bio-degradable and Non-biodegradable waste across all floors of the institution.
  • Maintenance of green space within the campus.
  • Maintenance of complete cleanliness of the campus as a best practice of the college.
  • Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine and Incinerator for students and staff members.
  • Renovation of College Website.
